I have no entirely logical reason as to why I particularly like this sort of earring more than any other but nevertheless I can kind of track it a little or make some educated guesses. I'm not sure who would be ineterested here but this is a site intended for the voicing of an appreciation of such decoration.
One of my early memories I have to admit is kind of part of my childhood when I went on holiday to a Welsh holiday resort. Anyway while there, there was a young girl, probably early 20s working at the local cafe who was working behind the counter. If I remember right she was very striking looking with a slightly alternative look. Of course at the time my thoughts were not conciously sexual, not being too aware of sexuality at the time. But one thing I do remember is that this girl ALWAYS wore hoops while working. Is this the root of this particular fetish? Quite possibly as I can still remember more or less what she looked like and the way her earrings looked aesthetically.
Anyway as time went on I suppose I became awakened to this particular fetish. I saw very classy and very beautiful girls wearing them and it soon happened that this particular aesthetic feature was the first thing I noticed. First there was a girl I attended school with who I was close to obsessed with, who, you guessed, used to wear hoops very often, at least on 'wear what you like' days. Jewellery and the like were not permitted on normal uniform days but she definitely look great in hoops otherwise. In addition I'd also often see a girl at the local library who also used to wear them often. She was at the time, probably a little older than me but again I noticed them and I noticed her. She was however sadly out of my age range.
Since those times I did somewhere start to figure out along the line that hoops and some dangle earrings were something I considered to be very sexy on a beautiful girl and alas as time went one, when I saw it on a girl I was instantly mesmerized by her.
I have to admit I probably stumbled upon this site by accident but was pleased that people out there shared my 'fetish'. I don't go as far as some of the people here but I have no problem with how they go about their lifestyle. I'm not sure I like calling it a fetish either but I guess having signed up on here I go further than a lot of men who have an aesthetic appreciation of a girl's earrings will go.
So if I were to sum up what it is I like about them. Well I can at least looking at them from the point of view of pure aesthetic.
I love the way they swing when they get caught up a little in the wind or if the girl turns her head quickly and they rock back and forth when she has turned around. Or when she tilts her head, the way they just dangle there, framed by beautiful hair. Its great the way they draw your attention to a girl's neck as well and when you run your fingers through her hair, moving down to her neck and as you go, gently caressing one of her earrings, stroking her cheek bone through the hoop. Or when she tilts her head back and her earrings then go backwards. They frame her face beautifully,
I am not entirely keen on the word 'fetish' either. In essence this is perhaps what this is, but to me its an appreciation of part of a girl's beauty/decoration. There is something almost feral and unrefined about the word 'fetish' (though admittedly a girl looking sexy in hoops helps bring out part of the animal in me. :-P ).
So part of this is perhaps almost loving a girl's wild side (I mean as observed elsewhere hoops are used on a girl when she is meant to look SEXY) but also I think they can make a girl also look very classy. They're not very subtle earrings really but yet with the right clothing combination they no longer just look sexy, they look beautiful.
