Bling Improves School Uniform
Thick gold chains, large hoop earrings, multiple diamante rings; jewelry is, of course, an essential accessory for every teenage girl. After all, who doesn’t love the “bling bling” style of today’s youth? Well, teachers, of course! For me, being forced to wear a standard navy uniform going to school every day decreases my sense of individuality, and makes me feel far too conformed. So at the beginning of my first year in the school, I thought to myself, ‘What can I do to express my personality, without breaking any school rules?’ The answer came to me in a pair of silver hoop earrings. By "Barbara" When she was done, she put my other silver earrings back into the bottom piercings for me. I then looked into the mirror, and was pleasantly surprised to see how nice the new earrings looked. In each ear, I was now wearing a large-sized silver ring in the piercing at the bottom of each lobe that I had had done many years ago. Then, about a quarter of an inch higher up, I had a smaller silver ring in the second hole, and again, a quarter of an inch higher still, I had another tiny silver ring that had been slipped through the third and highest piercing. When I turned my head even slightly, all three hoops dangled in unison, and I could hear them clicking together. Since my hair was now so short and exposing my ears, the three earrings were clearly visible. As I looked at myself in the mirror, it occurred to me that, actually, I now had a total six piercings. Did that qualify me to be able to say to someone "I have multi-pierced ears"? I thought so, and it sounded like it would be rather naughty and wicked to hear myself say that I was "multi-pierced" to someone if they asked. I could not deny it, the look made me feel sexy, haughty, and attractive.

As I approached his table, Ken stood up and just stared at me. I knew I was a sight to behold; strutting in on 5 inch stiletto pumps, ankle bracelets dangling, white blouse tied at my midriff, and tight white Capri pants. Importantly, my closely cropped hair set off three silver hoops in each ear. As I walked, the hoops in my ears swayed and dangled, and I could feel the silver rubbing gently against my neck, and feel the silver wires that passed through the holes within the lobes that carried each ring. That warm feeling came over me again, that primitive gypsy feeling, and I felt my attitude change into the slightly naughty one that Erica could carry off so well. As I sat down, Ken couldn’t keep his eyes off me. He started staring at my ears, and said "You’re wearing three rings in each ear. Don’t tell me you had your ears pierced again."
