Well, it appears my last post on large hoops was timely. According to a story that appeared today in the Telegraph, cosmetic surgeons have reported an increase in the the number of women requiring corrective surgery to fix problems caused by heavy earrings.
Singled out for special notice was the designer Zac Posen, who features “earrings so long that they wound around the neck.” Sure enough, the pics I’ve seen of the the “2009 Ready-To-Wear” collection show models decked out in gorgeous large earrings. Did you get the “gorgeous” part? I for one am ready to risk ear-corrective surgery if someone tosses me a pair of Posen dangles!
The other designer mentioned was Louis Vuitton. Drool drool! I’ve looked a looked for a picture of these £580 wood and resin earrings but I can’t find one (readers, please help me out!). Something tells me I’d be saying the the same thing about these as the Posen pretties.
