Up-side-down: Yes, this is great! The hoops are quite thin, so she can pull them through her lobes beginning from the fastener to the other side. Of course, the holes have to be a little bigger than normal. This form of wearing hoops is suitable to prevent the lobes from cutting in. Sometimes I see women that are wearing the hoops at a similar way, bit mostly the fastener is staying in the near at the lobes (a half inch or less), but is not pulled to the upper side!

I used to wear thin hoops right through my holes like that. They felt very tight to start with but they loosened up after a while with the movement and weight of the rings. But I didn’t wear the type with fasteners as in this picture. I preferred the continuous style hoops which spring shut so you couldn’t easily see the join or that I was wearing rings in my ears this way.

I think that continous hooop earrings are the most beautiful, as the fasterners usually distracts a bit. And they are more obvious if worn facing down, like on this picture. But on the other side, that is how BCR:s/CBR:s usually is worn (the kind of jewellery used in many body piercings). I like the picture alot though, maybe for the courage of wearing her rings differently.

Notice also the symmetrical cartilage (helilx) piercings she has (in the upper part of her ears). Looks nice!
