..is when you check out a girls lobes (am i the only one that does this?) to see if she's pierced. You notice she is but she's not wearing earrings.
Or when shes maybe wearing one pair but you can see her lobes are pierced say 3 or 4 times. I just think 'You went to all the trouble to get them pierced multiple times, the cleaning, the healing time, why aren't you wearng earrings in them???'
Can any ladies answer this for me? |

Yeah I get where you're coming from, sometimes you just cant help wondering what she'd look like with some hoops on. |

Exactly. It's kind of a 'Have you given up on earrings?'
Sometimes i'll notice a girl in an office when i'm working and she'll be wearing the usual studs of tiny hoops that they tend to wear at work, but if i have a good look i can see he lobes are a little stretched and she has maybe 3 more holes, all of which are open and obviously used regularly. That makes me think 'She's a secret multi pierced mega hoop wearer' |

I think wearing hoops should be mandatory if you have your ears pierced. Hell, lets make it mandatory that girls have their ears pierced three times with hoops in each hole |

Personnaly i prefer that it's their own choice. A woman who confidently wears 1 or more pairs of spectacular hoops because she wants to is far better than one who wears them because she has to. |

Heres a current example.
i was in a line at a restaurant last night. Behind me was a lovely looking blond lady. She had her hair up and was wearing a small pair of hoop studs. But looking at her lobes i could see 3 more holes each side.
Why oh why don't these people pit some earrings in them, even just studs???? |

Personally I hate studs. Actually I think hate is an understatement, they are the absolute ultimate turn off for me. |

I was joking, and I feel the same way -- a woman who wears them because she was forced to or asked to isnt the same as a girl who wears them for thier own enjoyment |

Nope! Do it all the time! That way, I can better imagine if she wears something more daring at other times!
As for studs, I think they are a waste of an earring although I don't mind if they are worn in combo with some nice hoops!
My turnoff is girls that wear stud style hoops. Kind of looks like something a kid would wear or something someone who really doesn't have their lobes pierced would wear. My biggest turnoff are earrings that cover the whole lobe! I like to see the interaction of the earrings with the lobe. |

I totally agree with you about the interaction with the ear..earrings that cover the whole ear is boring I like when you can see that the hoop goes through the ear |

Do you guys find it sexier with one large hoop or a hoop with a second piercing with a stud? |

By the way, sometimes I leave them empty because I get embarrassed....Sounds strange I know. |

Earlier on in this thread people are talking about 'stud style hoops'. What does that mean? |

One large hoop is preferable to hoop & stud. The ideal situation is two large hoops, of course. This combination is far more sexier. Studs do nothing for me and do not get my attention. |

I believe "stud style hoops" are hoops that are not a full 360 degree diameter. They can be half circle or three quarter circle. They are attached by a stud style fastener, as against a lever back style, for example. |

Ok. Thanks for the explanation.
I have a few pairs like that. But I prefer wearing the hinge-bar type. |

No, more like these:

or these:

Where there is a stud with a hoop attached that looks like an afterthought!
Oh, I hate them! |

Yuk! I don't like that type either - a hoop dangling from a stud. Nasty. |
