If you could "decorate" my ears with the earrings/hoops of your choice how would you do it?? How many and what combo??
Me: - I have 4 lobe piercings in each ear, I have a nice looking lobes not too fat and not too flat!! They hang nicely!
Go for it!! |

Oh wow, a dress up LoveLobes thread You sure know how to get our attention!
Even though you have a fourth hole I'd opt to leaving it empty, or just put in a small "placeholder" hoop. I'm not sure why but I prefer to go with odd numbers of earrings in each ear, but I would certainly not object to a fourth hole as it just opens up even more possibilities.
As I've mentioned before I'm into the graduated hoops look. Around here it is unbelievably rare to see a woman with three large hoops in her ears, so that would be the first thing I'd have you try. But since I know that's nothing new for you I'd say lets step it up a notch. Back when I had a GF who'd wear hoops for me she picked up this 3 pack of double hoops and would wear the largest pair for me, it gave the effect of having two pairs of hoops on with only one piercing. The only drawback being that they did not swing in her ears as two hoops would, just one. I remember thinking that the three pack, which consisted of a 2" hoop, a 1.5" hoop and 1" hoop would have looked incredible worn by someone with three piercings, with the largest pair in the first hole and working down to the smallest pair in the third. Something like these hoops but just plain silver. So in essence it would look like you're wearing 6 pairs of hoops.
So that's the first one that comes to mind, I'm sure I could come up with a hundred more combinations but I'll be late for work if I dont leave now. I'll probably post another suggestion later |

Very good hlover, i like your style! i like the double hoops but normally they are on a post with a butterfly back, not on wire, but still, very good choice, i do go fo the graduated look a lot, good taste.
Come on then, lets have some more.... |

There are so many possible great combinations it's impossible to pick one favorite. I've found personally, that I don't like hoops that are too large in diameter for a particular person's neck. So based on a reasonably average person's neck, I find a 3.5" (90mm) hoop to be a bit too big. (I'm sure there are plenty of people on this forum who will disagree with me). But my point is that any of these ideas should be scaled appropriately to fit your neckline. Also, all of these ideas are starting at the bottom piercing and going up to the fourth (on each side).
Idea 1: 90mm hoop, 80mm hoop, 70mm hoop, 60mm hoop
Idea 2: 90mm/2mm hoop, 3x 30mm/4mm hoop
Idea 3: 80mm hoop, 140mm dangle, 2x 20mm hoop
Idea 4: 60mm/5mm hoop, 50mm/4mm hoop, 40mm/3mm, 30mm/2mm
Idee 5: 330mm dangle, 120mm dangle, 60mm dangle, 30mm dangle
Idea 6: 120mm dangle, 90mm hoop, 100mm dangle, 70 mm hoop
Idea 7: 330mm dangle, 80mm hoop, 70mm hoop, 60 mm hoop
I could keep going all day...

Hi bmak, Great Ideas, very techincal with the neck, but i get what you are saying. Interesting choices, i like all of them, but if it were me i'd go for Idea 1. I like that one the best. But i did open this thread up for you to decorate my ears for me!!, so i am at your disposal .
You boys (and girls) carry on.... anymore?? |

What is it about the butterfly back that you prefer? I know my ex always preferred this style (not sure what its called) as they were easy to put on and were more likely to pop off than the butterfly clasp.
I agree with BMak on the neck issue. Some girls with shorter necks cannot pull off the larger sizes. It never looks good if they're resting on the shoulder. I've also found that girls with an attached earlobe can't always pull off hoops as well either.
I've been wracking my brain all day to figure out something else for you to try but honestly the triple hoop look has always been such a dream for me I've never had to look past it. The only other thing I can come up with is graduating the thickness much like bmak mentioned.
Other than that, I would love to see you wearing the tapered hoops starting large and working down to a smaller pair. Or for something really fun that I've never heard of a girl trying wearing multiple pairs of this style (but silver, and without the pattern etched into them) . I think in order to pull it off with really big ones you'd have to put one pair in your first holes and a second smaller pair in your 3rd holes so they're not too squished together. I think that'd be amazing looking that'd certainly give you good number of double takes from both the guys and girls

Go for it!!
Four piercings in both ears is not my favourite look, but its ok.
#1: for first piercings big hoops and then second and third some beautiful studs.
#2: dangles and studs.
#3: two smaller hoops and studs
#4: three small hoops
# 5: studs in each pearcing
I like many pearcings but in some cases only nice one pair dangels or hoops are best without any other jewels. |

There are so many possibilities! All studs look great with 4 holes. But, I like asymmetrical too. 2 big hoops on the bottom and then just 3 smaller hoops in the one ear with studs in the other. I also like all hoops but that's more for private time. |

What was the file name? I know that the ~ character will be rejected (as many of my photos seem to have one). Best bet is to rename it to something simple. Or if you still cant figure out email it to me and I'll upload it to the site. |
