Three to Four inches. Comfortable enough for them to wear, but big enough to provide good interaction with her ear.
Thicker, I prefer over thinner, so they are more visible and more apt to "dance" with her earlobe with subtle motion.
Slightly heavier, so to produce a smooth swinging motion.

Hard to pick one exact size... I'd agree with Robert, something bigger than 2" but smaller than 3.5-4" as then they just look too big. I also prefer the wider/thicker style as well, and definitely silver  |

I agree with the sizing, between 2-4". Under 2, too small, why bother ? And Over 4", I have to say they always catch my attention, but no all women 'can' wear them gracefully. It's like DDD boobs, sure, they're big, but stop being the best..
Silver only. Thick or thin. As long as you can see them.... |

For me, the ideal size of hoops is of at least 9 cms of diameter. If it's bigger, is more pleasant for me. Obviously not all women can wear hoops of 12 cm or bigger, but if I see a woman wearing hoops of that size, i will be happy. I don't care about the thickness, for the record.

I don't know why, but nowadays is hard to find a woman wearing big hoops...specially 5 or 7 inch. |

5" best look and can still be worn with ease. 6" also best sexy look but harder to wear as it twists earlobes and head could get stuck when looking left or right. |
