For all the women out there, what thoughts or feelings (if any) do you experience while you're wearing hoop earrings? |

I hope they look attractive.

Hello Belinda,
I'd like to know :
How many hoops do you have ?
Can you show us your collection ?
That would be great, thanks. |

Belinda, what are permanent studs? I have a beautician friend who mentioned them recently. Are they studs you don't remove or something?
Sorry if I'm off-topic here. |

I've never heard of them either. As someone who hates the look of studs I am not too thrilled to learn about them either |

Hi Zaphod, I think I have about 15 pairs of hoops. Is that enough? And you want to see them???
…
Yes, permanent earstuds are different to regular ones. I think they are such a cool idea. I am taking part in a trial. Maybe your friend knows about it if she’s a beautician.
BTW, what’s the latest on the Hypno thread? I was interested in that one.
…
I’m sorry to hear you don’t like the look of studs, hlover. (I guess you’d be slover if you really liked them.) You use the word ‘hate’. That’s strong. You really don’t like stud earrings that much?
But don’t worry. I will not defect; I haven’t gone without hoops for a long long time and that won’t change any time soon, unless my ear piercings heal up in the night or my ears fall off or or something. |

Yeah I don't know why I dislike them so much. I used to jokingly call it an anti-fetish. The way I used to describe it to my ex was to compare it to a shoe fetish, the hoops would be like a pair of knee high boots and the studs would be like a pair of crocs.
I love long dangles, but studs are a different story.
Now I guess my big question is, why do they have permanent studs and not permanent hoops? |

I'm just like you, hlover. I don't like studs. I can't see in them anything beautiful, or anything that makes the girl wearing them more beautiful. But hoops are totally different, I think they look great on every girl, and make any girl more sexy than anything.
And Belinda, yes I'd like to see them. Is that such a weird idea ? Remember that you are on a hoop fetish website, so I think we all would like to see your hoops, even if I'm the only one who asks you
Thanks.

yea, I guess the name "hoopfetish.com" does give it away !
Anyway, studs are kind of a disapointment as you know how cool the same holes filled with hoops would be! Still, a nice set of hoops with studs in the second piercing can look pretty cool.
This site represents the portion of the population that love hoops, and as with most fetishes, the more or bigger the better |

I'm no fan of studs but i do have to admit i prefer to see a stud in a ladies ear rather than no earring in a piercing or no piercing at all.
I've always believed if they are pierced you should use them. |

You guys!
Ok, I used the S word. Apologies. I wouldn’t have guessed you all had such a dislike of studs! And don’t all come at me saying it’s because this is a hoops site! Just because you love one thing doesn’t mean you automatically hate something else! I really like studs in my second holes – sorry. But it certainly sparked off a lively discussion! Why don’t you start a thread specifically on the subject of studs? Admittedly most of you will say why you don’t like them. You can contain all the stud stuff safely in there. Ok. Maybe that’s a crazy idea.
Talking of crazy ideas Mr. hlover, permanent hoops!? Actually I had a nightmare (literally) a few nights ago. I dreamt I went to buy my new hoops (which are large half-hoop style) , and when I chose them I was put in a chair in the corner (like when you have your ears pierced). The assistant put them in and when I got home and went to take them out later, I found there weren’t any butterflys on the backs, just plain fixed disks like my permanent studs. And all my friends loved them but only I knew the secret and they were so heavy. Whatever. But do you have any idea how uncomfortable large hoops can be to sleep in?
I took a pic of most of my hoops and put it as my avatar. But it looks rubbish Zaphod. And I forgot to include my new ones because I was wearing them at the time. How blonde was that? I just took a pic of me in them but now my phone's gone all mad.
Anyway, be nice to ladies who wear studs. |

I hope they look attractive. I like the way they move. I tend to wear heavier ones now and I can feel them moving my ears. Also they sort of change the way I move my head because if I tilt my head backwards too much the hoops flop outwards which feels weird, so I have to keep my head upright more. I’m also very conscious of them getting caught and pulled out which is my worst nightmare.
But overall I like the way they feel. My hair is quite long now and so you can only see the fronts of them. I really like that look, but I’ll probably change it as I just went and had a small pair of permanent studs fitted in my second piercings and I don’t want to hide them too much, though it's quite subtle like this.
Well, it was a general question. I was interested in how people would respond because I am very interested in hearing about a female's experiences whenever she wears them. For example, when her earrings jingle a bit, she is most likely to feel something but I would like to hear about her point of view. What if she was wearing them because a guy convinced her? Does she start thinking about him? I like your response though . I find the look you described to be very attractive. It would make a man want to push it back a bit just to see them . |

I agree with the second part, the girl I just started seeing has three piercings in each ear -- yet I've never seen her wear anything in them yet. I'd love to see them full of hoops someday. But I much prefer to see them empty than with studs. |

Belinda: and what do you feel with your lobes when the hoops are in and/or moving? What is it like to put them in and take them out of your piercing? |

All I can say is my ears feel sort of complete when I have jewellery in them. I rarely go without earrings. So it’s sort of a question of how do I feel when not wearing them. I guess like not going with makeup, which is a complete no no. I like the way my lobes move with big rings through them, it feels totally natural to me and I’ve got used to it.
As for putting them in… There are different sorts of fittings. I prefer the type with the hinged bar which pushes through and snaps closed. Especially when the bar is quite thick as it is more snug sitting in my first piercings (the ones at the bottom of my lobes). Those are ‘reserved’ for my big rings, and are a little bit stretched now. Taking them out at the end of a long day is a nice feeling in a way to give my ears a rest. My new hoops are quite heavy.
I totally agree with what Si said earlier: if you have piercings you should use them. I always fit jewellery in all of my piercings, that’s what I had them made for!
Mwiley was talking about earrings jingling. Personally I don’t like that, kind of gets on my nerves. But that’s just me. My earrings all perform their magic in silence! |

Hey Belinda! Those are nice earrings in your picture! Where d'you get them? Are they the hinge bar type like you wrote about?
And how many piercings do you have then, in your ears or any others?
Am I being weird here? This must be odd for you in this forum. |

Why thank you kind sir Zaphod. Yes, that’s lil’ ole me.
To Mr Director guy, I got my big rings from a place in Regent Street a few weeks back. They’re plain polished silver heavy half-hoop style, just what I wanted.
I have two piercings in each lobe. I have a small silver ring in the top of my left ear. No other piercings at all, but I’m thinking about getting some more but I need to check some stuff out first.
No it’s not weird! But why don’t you put up a pic and brighten this up a bit? And what happened about your friend you were hypnotizing to wear big hoops? |

I agree with Zaphod & thedirector, you look incredible with those hoops on. Then again, I think you'd look great w/o them too. Thank you for posting it.
And thedirector, I'm also curious to hear more on your hypnotizing adventure |

Belinda: Ok. I put up a pic. Have I cheated?
I like the fact that you have reserved piercings for big hoops! It sounds like you almost went on a mission to get the ones you’re wearing in the pic. What inspired you to get them? You say they’re heavy like that was a factor, and were they more or less comfortable than you expected?
Have you worn big hoops in all 4 of your lobe piercings at the same time? What other piercings are you going to get? Ears? Will they also be reserved for hoops?
Great pic of your hoops in the gallery too! It's a good collection.
Ok people, I will update the hypno thread. I’ve got sidetracked by Belinda’s fantastic choice of sexy jewellery. Not much to say at the moment though. |
