After what seemed to be an amazing 4-5 years of hoops being in high fashion, it seems the pendulum has swung the opposite direction and lately it seems like no one is wearing them. It seemed like one minute everyone who was anyone was wearing them, from actresses to singers and even people you'd never expect to catch wearing a pair of hoops. And not only were we seeing big hoops, but thick gold or silver ones with substaintial weight to them. It was glorious.
When the pandemic hit I noticed things starting to slow down there. I figured it was everyone being at home and not really having a reason to dress up. But it still seemed like they held on and my youtube feed was full of gorgeous women sporting big hoops.
But then almost overnight the big hoop trend gave way to the small chunky hoop trend. Now it seems like a rare treat you see someone wearing large hoops. Even some of the last holdouts like Christy Carlson Romano have stopped wearing them. Heck, even Jlo has all but stopped wearing them.
