Risqué Hoops
Robert Likeglass
Risqué is a French word meaning "to risk." Over the years, it has taken on sexual meaning. The reason is simple, risk increases sexual excitement! A good looking girl walks into a bar. There are two patrons. A nice guy dressed in a casual sweater, and a biker dude that obviously owns the Harley parked outside. Who does she leave with? The biker dude of course! The "nice guy" would have been a safer choice, but she knows by comparison, he would have been boring. Risk and sexual intensity go hand in hand!

The confidence to deal with risk is also a big turn on. When a girl puts on a pair of six inch stiletto heels, she risks tripping, falling on her face and breaking her nose! Yet, the look is "hot" and one of the reasons is that she projects the "confidence" that she can handle it! The same could be said about her wearing a pair of huge heavy earrings. She risks busting her ears out, but the look also projects the confidence that she will not.

So, now we reverse the situation. A good looking guy goes into the bar. In one corner is a "wallflower" girl, and in the other is our chick with the stiletto heels and the huge earrings. Which look is more exciting? The girl who is projecting the risk and confidence will most likely make for a far more interesting evening!

To some extent, when I hear women who put down other women for looking "trashy" when they wear big hoops, or dress in a risqué fashion, I think there is jealousy at play. They don't have the confidence to handle such a look, of are afraid of the level of excitement such a look might bring. Rather then admit their own emotional inadequacy, they clear their ego by calling the other woman a hoer or worse.

On the other side of the spectrum, maybe our wallflower guy should try out a Harley sometime!

Keep rockin' the hoops! The bigger the better! Grin

Hoops are not trashy.
